Guildford Society Craft Markets
When the Town Bridge at the bottom of the High Street near Debenhams was closed to traffic, Guildford Society took advantage of this vacant key spot at the heart of the town to introduce a lively and appropriate new activity - The Christmas Craft Market. It was run for us for many years by Jonathan Tatlow, who a couple of years ago handed over to Colin Styles - a stall-holder himself.
A year ago it was feared that this attractive element in the town's life might be on its way out, especially when SCC attempted to impose stall charges on organizers. However the threat has passed for the moment and we are delighted that Colin is extending its appearance to holiday weekends through the year. He is able to attract a wonderful variety of stallholders - please use it!
Craft Markets will take place on the Town Bridge (at the bottom of the High Street) on the following dates:-
